The University of Arkansas’ Center for Black Music was founded as part of the Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences through the generosity of the Alice L. Walton Foundation. Established and led by Grammy Award-winning educator Dr. Jeffrey A. Murdock, the center will serve as the first of its kind offering the only Master of Music in Black Sacred Music degree in the United States.

Dr. Murdock sought a strong logo and brand that felt rooted, historic and traditional.
